Eva looked up at him with a slight sideways smile. "Just follow me. Oh, by the way, you're eye's pink." She laughed softly; she wasn't as bothered by heat, pain, or fatigue...but he was from Tatooine, why did it bother him?
After a while, she asked, "Are you hungry?"

He didn't have to answer that. His stomach made a grumble that was so loud, a person not more then two feet away could hear it. He smirked at this and said, "Do I need to say more?"
He then remembered the other comment she gave him, "My eye is pink?" He blinked his eyes sharply, self-consciously.

Eva smiled and laughed. She reached into a pouch in her belt and pulled out some simple crackers. "I forgot I had them..." she laughed, handing some to him.

He grabbed a few of the crackers, not trying to look like a scavenger and ate them faster than usual. He squinted ahead, but nothing could be seen in site. "For some reason, I feel we're going to wrong way."

Eva looked up and groaned. "That's 'cause we <i>are</i>, wookiewart!" she said. She suddenly slapped her forehead. "OH my gosh. I'm <i>so</i> dumb..." she said, reaching for her belt and pulling up her comlink. "Gold leader to Gold base, Gold leader to Gold base, commander, do you copy?"

He turned his head towards her and grinned, "Oh, alright. I'll be grateful." He also changed his direction. He blinked some more as his right eye stinged. He wasn't one to complain, but the way he was acting seemed as though his eye had a nervous twitch.

Eva laughed, then noticed his eye twitching. "What's the matter?" she asked, then tripped over a rock. The fiery pain flared up in her ankle for a moment, but she ignored it and kept walking.

He tried to laugh it off when he said, "I must have gotten a piece of something in there." He took a finger and with a gentle move tried to wipe a tear that had streamed down his cheek. Except, this time the so called 'tear' was the shade of red.

"My...my eye?" He rubbed it, and indead more red tears came streaming down his face. "Oh no.." He said as he examined the blood on his glove from rubbing his eye. The pain was to the exreme, but he surely wasn't going to show it.

Eva grimaced at the bloody tears; they just <i>looked</i> painful. She looked down at her comlink. "We're close enough in now," she said, looking around. "Commander," she said, "Commander, come in. Commander, this is Gold leader, come in."
"Copy, Gold leader. What's your position?"
"We're near the outskirts of the city. We were -" she paused and looked at Anakin. They hadn't been shot down.... "We went down," she finally said.
"We're sending a squad out," he said.
"Copy that," she said.

Anakin now applied presure to his eye with the palm of his hand. As Eva looked at him he laughed and said quietly repeating her, "We went down...." He smirked, then made a tight face as his eye seemed to burn more.
