Sorry if this has already been posted everyone, but yes, it is that time of year again. I'm quite disappointed actually by the fact that no one had created a thread for this with the teaser trailer just around the corner.
Anyhoo, basically, if you're excited for the movie or if you wish to discuss aspects of the upcoming film post here. I'll be posting a link to the teaser trailer when it arrives either 9 May or 16 May.
As further precaution, if you happen to be posting spoilers that pertain to the movie in this thread please mark your post so that those who do not wish to be spoiled will know not to read it or follow any links from your post. Thanks!
Last, but not least, I have recently found a possible script for the HBP teaser trailer as well as what looks to be a script for three parts of the movie. If anyone would like to view them I can post them later under a spoiler alert.

LOL HBP is being split in two, right? That's going to be interesting.
I've started to lose some interest in HP... I still like it, but LotR is my fandom of choice these days!

Yea, yea. *sigh* I was expecting a bit more reception for a thread such as this. I guess HP has died down considerably, or people just aren't interested at the moment since WB hasn't released any sort of trailer or anything still...

AH NO NO NO IT HASNT DIED DOWN!! I'm here now! Haha! My obsession with Harry Potter has only grown since I was last here on the forum! As of now I know it comes out November 21st 2008.
I am sooo excited!
I read this on mugglenet
"MuggleNet reader Kime, who works at a movie theater in Orange City, Florida, has checked the trailer reels for Kung Fu Panda and Don't Mess with the Zohan. As it turns out, neither of them include the long-awaited Half-Blood Prince teaser trailer.
The majority of you who have voted in our poll believe that the trailer will come out with WB's The Dark Knight on July 11th. Second place goes to Get Smart on June 20th. We'll keep you updated when we hear more!"
Sooo hopefully that will happen!

The thread lives!
I'm just scared they're going to focus more on the romantic-comedy aspect of the book rather than the actual story. That's my worst fear.
Have any of you heard the rumour going around that Dumbledore's funeral may be cut? And ViviElessar, since you're here, what are your thoughts on the Tonks/Lupin relationship that's pretty much established in this movie?

^I'm also afraid about the movie being focused around the whole 'romantic comedy' theme. It would really ruin it for me.
I heard about that!! I HOPE that is not true. I know that Remus and Tonks are not the most important characters in the series but I want to see more of them since we got very little in the OotP movie. I read some comments Natalia Tena made about the R/T relationship in HBP and I was very disappointed. I wanted at least to see them holding hands but it seems it is not going to happen on this one

Does somebody know which things will be cut?
I think that one of them is Bill and Fleur's relationship. But I'm sure that Quidditch is back for good in a big way.

^If they cut the quidditch I'll defintiely throw a tantrum.
Bah, they're not gonna highlight the Tonks/Lupin relationship? x_x
And they might cut the funeral scene? GASP! I shall march down to the studio to give them a piece of my mind...argh.

I don't understand why should the directors spend all their attention to the romance. And the comedy? If there's hardly any!

Seriously, JKR struck a good happy-medium with romantic-comedy and real plot-inducing drama throughout the book. I don't understand why the film makers can't do that as well.
Wasn't Natalia saying how they don't even really establish the relationship? I mean, she says everyone meets up at the burrow at one point and we're expected to assume they're together. I really feel bad for all the non-bookreaders who see the movies. They're really going to have a heck of a time following...
Apparently there's a battle type scene at the Burrow as well, which never occurs in the books. I'd rather cut that if it doesn't advance the plot than cut Dumbledore's funeral.
As for Bill and Fleur, I think it's a safe bet that we probably won't see the two of them ever. They'll probably make the wedding in DH Tonks and Lupin's, and then have Shell Cottage happen after Tonks has had Teddy and all that.
They've really got their hands tied...

I always assumed that they will cut Bill and Fleur and replace them with Lupin and Tonks in DH, which for me that's alright, I guess. Maybe they do it for the non-book fans to feel pity and sadness for Teddy at the end of the film...

I suppose so. We have seen more of those particular characters and I think it'll work out better in the long run in terms of making things a bit less complicated [than they already are ].

Ah, the Quidditch. I hated it when they cut that Quidditch game in the PoA when Gryffindor wins the Cup....
But I don't really like that they're making DH into two movies. I mean....who wouldn't mind watching a super-long movie....super-long movies are great! [as long as they're GOOD super-long movies, of course]
