I like how it includes references to Song of Roland; it makes me feel like that was sort of worth reading then.

^We read that too! Medieval Literature = much awesomeness.
Allí leí las tumbas
Spanish assignment. It translates to, "There I read the graves." Not morbid or anything.

When a child is born, the umbilical cord is buried near the hogan. The placenta is buried near a tree, and that same tree is cut to make the child’s headboard. After the child learns how to walk and has no further need for a headboard, it is offered back to the tree from which it was cut.
Part of my research paper on the Navajos. Ooo, placenta.

MB, as I've said before, I live in Texas. And I've been to Montana before. On our yahoo weather area, one of the temperature readings we have is for Glacier. My mom and I are very jealous, because we've had several high 90s/around 100 degree temps lately.
Anyway, regarding tornadoes: I live at the southern end of Tornado alley, so late April through mid-June or so (sometimes all summer if it's a rainy summer), we get severe weather fairly often. And half those times there are tornado watches and warnings. Scariest moment was a few weeks ago, a cell with funnel clouds and tornadoes passed just a few miles south of us. There was hail and lightning and thunder, but it passed pretty quickly.
I'm not scared of tornadoes unless it's a warning, and the cell is close to us. You become de-sensitized to it if you've been exposed to it all enough. Tornado watch means nothing to me except maybe a thunderstorm, and sometimes even then it doesn't do anything big.
last big post I did, ctrl-c'd to prevent loss

Oh how annoying.
^I was posting on another forum's piercing thread... the "God help us all" originally had a link attached to it to a newspaper article about piercings being bad.
