LOL I thought, oh no, it's the transvestite guy again, but then I was like no, he's too good a dancer. I realized it was probably Travis (or someone like) when he finished. Geez
Did you see the guy who did a Gene Kelly-esque audition? The leap he did? Holy crap! lol

Oh, I know, I totally loved him, and I was so angry when he didn't make it to the top twenty. Neither did Cooper. They never even showed what happened to him, either.
But yeah, the top twenty...it's promising that there are so many contemporary dancers...I may be biased about it, but I think that contemporary dancers are so much more interesting to watch.
And I'm glad Twitch made it through this year. I think he's hilarious.

Ok, I don't get the judges. Why did they take the skank looking girl? The one who said she's a teacher? (LOL my mom and I were joking that she doesn't get enough money teaching so she has a... second job.) There were a couple of girls who would've been better than her.
Gag.

Yay! I'm so glad someone brought this up again. I've just gotten caught up with the recorded videos my cousins send me, and I have to admit I'm sort of disappointed with the people they've chosen for the top 20. I mean, only a few really stand out to me so far.
Eäryendë, I totally know who you're talking about. I don't know what the girls name is, but the way she looks says to me that she's a complete tart. She made me gag as well.
I really like Kherington. I think that's her name at least. She looks really genuine, although I'm surprised she made it considering how into football she is.

Ok, so last night's episode:
I like Twitch and Kherington (Twitchington, ), who did the Broadway dance, also Katee and Joshua who did the second hip-hop (going off to war?). Also, I thought the dance Mia Michaels choreographed (Tim Burton's wedding? ) was interesting.
Skank-girl was toned down, but I still don't like her.

*gag* Did you hear here say that she's a highschool teacher? I'm sorry, but if I were a parent I would never stand for someone like that teaching my kid, especially if he's a boy. How can you concentrate on your work with a tart like that walking around the classroom?
And yeah, those three dances were really the highlite of the night for me. I really like Comfort and her partner as well, mostly because they have really awesome personalities, but I think with some hard work they could get really good technique-wise as well.
Did you watch the results show? Brilliant group dance by Wade Robinson if I may say so. I've always wanted to see Nigel tied up. I'm not surprised with who they kicked off as well. I really didn't think either of their dancing was strong, and as a couple they seemed awkward to me. *shrug* I'm sad the ballerina didn't last longer though. I would've loved to see more pointe work from her.

LOL during her little intro, she was like, I hope my students will be proud of me (or something to that extent). I was thinking, yeah, they'll want her to take off her clothes.
The group dance was too weird. I watched about 20 seconds and then fast forwarded it. No thanks. I didn't want either of the people kicked off to go. I couldn't pick one of the girls, but I wanted the tall guy to go over the blond one. But apparently they want technique over personality right now, which is kind of a mistake at this point in the show, but whatever.

I just don't understand how the public school system can hire people like that. I mean, they shouldn't be discriminatory, but I think she's a bit much. She'd be better suited teaching salsa, not maths or English.
Aww, I guess I'm just a bit odd then. I love anything Wade choreographs. Well, they certainly weren't my first choices to go *cough*Susie*cough* but personally I thought okay decisions were made. I can see your point on personality over technique, and I think this all goes back to the Cedric issue from last season. The judges always seem to make the mistake of letting the wrong people linger too long in the competition.

LOL I think it was on the SYTYCD message boards, somebody commented on her, saying, what does she teach? Sex ed?
 Kinda mean but funny.

Haha, I think that's hilarious, personally.
And I love Wade's choreography as well. There's only been one dance that I didn't like, and that was the Lacey/Sabra fox dance. That was a little too over the top. But his group dance was completely amazing.
And I agree with all the dances that have been pointed out--the hip hop dance (the second one, obviously) was awesome, it totally took the show for me, the broadway dance, because I absolutely love Twitch.
And I think I would have loved that Mia Michaels dance if it weren't for the gigantic poofy skirt that kept us from seeing any of her movements.
And also, I actually enjoyed the smooth waltz. Go figure. I'm not a fan of waltzes, pretty much ever, but I really liked that routine.
EDIT: Haha, I just looked back at the smooth waltz, and the chick is the high school teacher. Hahaha.

Gah! And you know what really gets me? The way she looks and dresses! Just seeing her on the street you'd never be able to tell she teaches high school students. She does look slightly older, but with her dyed hair it's hard to tell.
I completely forgot to comment on Mia's routine! It really was fantastic. I'd love to know what goes on in her head from day to day because she always comes up with such original routines. I know what you mean about the dress though. It did sort of get in the way, which is sad, because there was some good choreography in there.

^ A lot of people are complaining that the poofy dress in Mia's dance was too distracting, but I didn't notice it all that much. It was an interesting dance.

I think they did the poofy dress on purpose though. It did fit with the "Tim Burton's wedding" theme going on, and she was leaping around and being lifted a lot. It was very ethereal I suppose.

Ok! Let's comment on last night!
I loved Chelsie (sp?) and Mark- they did the Argentinian tango, which I loved. (Allison and Ivan from season 2 did that dance twice- they are still my favorite to watch doing that dance)
Katee and Joshua's broadway dance was fun... Twitch and Kherington's was nice...
Ok, Susie (aka la skank): Her hair was driving me crazy. I was like, it's Madonna hair circa 1980-something.
The hip hop (not the krumping) was good, it was Jessica and Will doing that. I was like, she's pretty good for a white girl!
Overall good night, I think the judges (Mary in particular for last night) are being too critical too early. They're critiquing/criticizing like they would around maybe top 10, not top 18. It's kind of annoying.

Well, it was last night that I picked my fave for the season. Thayne. He was with Chelsea, and go figure, I picked him the night that they did terrible. They did that first jazz piece. But I don't think it was their fault, I thought the choreography was bad, personally.
And dude, Josh and Katee own my soul.
And whoever did the Viennese Waltz, (Twitchington, right) were amazing. I really really liked it.

I didn't get to see the results show because we went out to dinner and forgot to record it... but when I got home I checked the SYTYCD message boards and saw that Marquis and Susie (aka la skank) got booted.
Thank goodness. I feel kinda sorry for the guy, but he wasn't much of a standout in my book, so I'm not really sad to see him go.
Who else was in the bottom 3? Did anyone else watch?
