Omg. I did it again.
Sorry, but when I open the post to edit it, my eyes get crossed.

The distant horizon glimmered with the light of dawn. A soft breeze whispered among the hills and plains and through the trees. Adelina stood upon the top of one hill, looking out at the view, hair fluttering slightly in the wind. Below her, a fair distance away, she could distinguish the faint sparkle of water.
There. That was it. The Archangel River.
Sighing softly, she tried to clear her troubled mind. Today was the 17th, the day that she was to meet her fellow companions. All coming from either of the four shires. She herself was from the Eastern. It had been an unadventurous journey, through the plains and woods, day or night. Adelina wasn't bothered about what time she travelled.
Still, it was the growing feeling of unease that unsettled her, during the ride. What was it? Shaking her head, she turned to head back down the hill.
******
OOC: Hope this was good enough.

Leonia's horse neighed softly. She rested a hand on its neck, murmuring words of comfort. She looked up again, eyes darting through the trees she had yet to go through. She was close, now. SHe thought breifly of the journey to come, then smiled and pushed them away. What would come would come. She groaned after the thought. She was beginning to sound like her mother.
There was a faint glimmer through the trees, reminding all that dawn was approaching, and that it wasn't going to wait for them. She sighed and urged her horse forward. Leonia was uneasy, and it wasn't because she was leaving home. No, it was the change... so much changing at once. Still, she had been chosen, and sent for; therefore she would help as she could.
The morning Sun dazzled her eyes as she cleared the forest, so much so she had to throw up a hand to cover her face. Her eyes adjusted after a few minutes, leaving her half-stood in the stirrups of her horse's saddle, at the edge of the Archangel river.

Thomiuk sighed deeply as his horse took a break from the long journey that he had undertook. He had ridden at least fifty leagues with no stop or rest and was nearly dying from thirst. He absently reached for his canteen and to his incredible dismay, it was empty. He groaned, forcing himself to bear his suffering.
He lifted his head and saw something he was absolutely positive wasn't right. He must be delusional, the exhaustion from the journey. But there it was, a river. Probably a couple hundred yards away. Eagerly he rode towards it, unable to believe his luck. Hopefully his luck will last.

Sui'dan slowed his black stallion from a slow canter to a trot, and then to a walk. He had been traveling for two days, and finally he was coming close to the meeting spot. Out of the other knights, he had been chosen from the Western Shire to help find the dragon and bring back the gem of Asha.
Zin and Zoe slept in a small basket on the saddlebags as the sun started to peak above the horizon. The morning chill had found it's way though Sui'dan's tough leather travel cloths. A shiver ran down his spine as he wished the sun higher to warm his chilled body. He also hoped to meet up with the others soon...

Adelina slowed her horse down to a trot. She was now only a few yards away from the river and she could definitely make out a rider waiting at the edge. Eager to put an end to this trip, she spurred her horse on and quickly covered whatever distance had been between her and this new adventure.

Leonia slid from her horses saddle. Whispering a command for him to stay where he was, she let go of his reins and moved to fill her pityfully empty canteen. She smiled gratefully as the cool, crisp water ran over her hands. the stood upright after taking a long draft, letting what little warmth there was in the early morning sun wash over her.
After a few moments enjoying the sun's growing warth, she finally noticed the silhouette* moving swiftly towards her. She blinked for a minute, looking down at the river for a moment. No more turning back, she thought. No more. She moved back to her horse, mouting him steadily, and moving slowly towards the beginning.
End of one story, beginning of another. Here goes nothing.
[*I dearly hope I spelt that right.]

Pulling on the reins, Adelina slowed her horse so that she was next to the other rider. "I'd like to reckon that you're one of the eight knights," she said softly, looking directly at the young woman who was before her. She had to be right, for the lady was dressed in a warrior's manner, though not heavily so. In her mind, Adelina was silently thankful that if it were true, that atleast she wouldn't be the only female in the company, besides the First Counselor.

Sui'dan finally came up to the river, and saw on the other side two riders. The river wasn't very deep, nor very wide, so he urged his horse across without hesitation. He came in earshot just in time to hear the words 'one of the eight knight'.
"I'm one, so I'm guess you are, too," he said with a nod. "Sui'dan of the Western Shire."

Leonia smiled slightly. "Yes. I am Leonia, of the Southern Shire." she bowed her head slightly. Another female warrior. This pleasantly suprised her, as she had expected men. Noticing Sui'dan's approach, she moved slightly closer towards Adelina. "I should be glad for female company." she murmured in an undertone.
She nodded to Sui'dan. "Leonia, of the Southern."

Adelina smiled slightly at Leonia, a bit relieved and nodded at Sui'dan. "I am Adelina of the Eastern Shire."
She dismounted Sage, her horse, and lead him to the river. "I need to replenish my water," she said over her shoulder as Sage trotted on to quench his thirst. She pulled out her canteen from the saddlebag and proceeded to fill it, then doused her head with a splash of the cool water, enjoying the way the droplets rans through her hair and down her skin.
After having refreshed herself, Adelina stood up and stretched. "It seems that we'll be waiting here a while for the rest of the company."

Amaran urged his mare, Melyn, to cross the river. She huffed with distain, but obeyed. "Good girl" He crooned in her ear, patting her neck. The assembling group of knights was across the river. They reached the bank slightly wetter than when they were before, but altogeather in one piece. "I am Amaran, and I come from the North." He greeted those that had arrived.

Leonia slid off her own horse. "Greetings Amaran. I am Leonia, of the South." She then nodded at Adelina, "Four out of eight isn't bad, we shouldn't have long to wait." She looked up and the sun and smiled slightly, her nerves growing ever so slightly.

The sun was rising. How unpleasant. Natasha hated the time when the new day was about to be born. The sunbeams light up everything and nothing stays hidden. Well, not exactly “nothing”. Only the darkest thoughts in the human mind are not revealed. And that was encouraging. It seems that even the brightest light can’t reach the darkest places in the soul. And they stay hidden…they are secret. But yet again the sun was rising- that was unpleasant.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
10 days have passed from that morning, when the 9th Meeting of the Order of Asha decided to search for the Jewel. 10 days since Natasha’s plan entered in its final stage. Still she had to make some preparations before she could achieve her goal. The first thing she did after the Meeting was to travel to Anapolis, the old Kingdom’s capital. Nobody dared to approach the city since that night 5 years earlier. There was a rumor that the Great Lizard (as the people called the Dragon) still lived there, guarding his precious treasure. The city and its surroundings were lying in ruins. Ashes and dust covered the streets, which were once busily. Natasha reached Anapolis for 3 days. How did she manage to this, nobody knows. As soon as she entered the city, she headed to the remains of Tower of the Mage. At the foot of the building she stopped. After she was assured, that nobody watched her, she pushed a stone in the wall. A long staircase revealed before the woman. It was going down and down. She went down stairs with a flare in her hand. Finally she found a wooden door with no lock. Natasha bit her finger and with her own blood she wrote something on the door. The bloody sings flashed in golden and the door opened by itself.
That was Natasha’s laboratory. It was unharmed by the fire. Still everything was dusty and twined in webs. There were many glass vessels, filled with some strange liquids, which still bubbled. Natasha entered the room and went to the bookcase. She moved some books and then she took out a big package, wrapped with old paper stock. She put it in her bag and then she went to her desk. Natasha opened one of the lockers and took out a small paper-bag. Finally she looked around. Her gaze stopped upon the opened cage in the middle of the room.
“As expected- he ran” said she. In this moment a caw was heard behind her. “Ah, there you are. I thought you were turned into roasted chicken. Come here.” The crow flew and landed on Natasha’s shoulder. “I have a task for you. Fly and see how many of the Knights from the 4 Shires have gathered. Oh and one more thing, search for the Dragon’s Lair. It should be in the North, in one of the many caves of the Snow Mountains. Tell him…tell him, that the time has come.” After hearing his mistress’ orders, the crow flew away. Natasha took her bag and left the laboratory.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It was the morning of the 17th June, the day, when Natasha should meet the Knights from the 4 Shires. Just before she reached the banks of the Archangel River, the crow landed on her shoulder.
“What! Only five of them!” said Natasha with anger in her voice. That wasn’t in her plans. She sighed. “Oh well, five will do as well. Now go and accomplish your second task!” The crow cawed and flew away. Natasha spurred her steed and swept down the hill to the bank of the River.

Adelina stood on the edge of the bank, watching the ripples in the water. She looked at her reflection and sighed. Picking up a pebble, she lightly threw it into the water, watching as it skipped along the surface before finally slicing through to the bottom of the river.
Something did not feel right. In her head, Adelina knew that something was wrong. Maybe what she was doing, was wrong? Ever since she had gotten the notice of the new adventure and had agreed, warnings and alarms had been buzzing in her head. But she had decided, danger or not, she had to go. It was worth the risk, to help to return the kingdom to it's previous splendour, and to finally rid herself of her anger and hatred.
Nothing would stop Adelina now. She was a knight, she rode under the banner of the Kingdom. She was belonged to a noble house of the Eastern Shire. She was the daughter of the Lord Andrew and the Lady Elena.
She would exact her revenge on the lowly worm that murdered her parents.
