I've read all the books that have come out so far (I think), and I really like them, even if they're geared toward kids! I love the "definitions" he gives, and just the zany sense of humor. I liked Duncan, if that was his name...

The last book I read in the series was The Grim Grotto - does anyone know if that's the most recent (at least until the October one comes out)? If I remember correctly, Klaus was starting a romance with that odd girl, and I was just  he's 12/13!!!

Yeah, anyway...

Haven't seen the movie. I'm not a big fan of Jim Carrey. He's too zany to be Count Olaf.

Arwen-yes, my little sis told me she was book thirteen at the store....funny, I just finished the Grim Grotto a few days ago. And to add what you said, I just love Snickett's writing style, he's just so funny and it adds a great flavor to a depressing tale...

I have read up to book eight of his books. I really like his writing style. I watched the film and I thought it was good, but no much like the books. I mean it was just the part at the end wasn't right, with the wedding.

I've read a couple of these books-good! I titled my story for school a series of unfortunate events----it wasn't about this though

Has anyone read the 13th? It came out today, and i've already bought it and read it :D
It was very good, not at all like I expected (of course!). I will say I was a little dissapointed with the ending. But all in all, I was pretty pleased with it :)

It's starting to grow on me, but despite being warned repeatedly...the ending was SAD!!!

SPOILERS

What is the deal with Kit and Olaf? And at what point does Lemony meet up with B and the Baudelaires?

Was B scared for Lemony's life and that's why she refused to marry him? So, she later thought her actions were for naught and he was dead anyway even though he wasn't?

Happy but exaspherated.

But I feel so bad for Lemony, the Baudelaires have each other and B but Lemony has no one now...unless he were able to actually keep in contact with B.
