Anakin was in disbelief. "My...my fault! It was your idea in the first place!" His head turned to the horizon. The sun was going down. Stars were becoming visible. He then sighed knowing that help wouldn't reach them until tomorrow.

Anakin stopped dead in his tracts. He turned towards her and said, "Excuse me? I did not crash into your fighter. The fighter I was after crashed into me!" He started walking again, then stopped and turned back around. "Now, who crashed into you, I certainly don't know, but don't blame it on someone like me!" He pointed to himself.

Anakin's steam came out as she apologized to him. "Well, that's better." He still held his right eye, but from his left eye, he could see Eva rubbing her ankle. "Is that what was caught in the cockpit?"

"Yes, if you must know," she said a bit irritably, sitting on a rock and massaging her bone. It had been on fire the whole time since she had tripped over the other rock, though she had not shown it much. "The toe of my boot was smashed between two things...you know, the very edge of your boot? Not my toe....but when I pulled it out, I strained or twisted my ankle or something...."

"No, I'm fine," she said. She sat for a while longer, then got up and kept walking. "It's almost night...." she looked up, then said, "I think they're here.." There were a couple of speeders flying towards them.

Anakin saw lights in the sky coming towards them. "Uh...Eva..." He talked louder as the speeders came closer. "Those aren't our speeders." He took a few steps back.

Eva cursed softly as they came closer. "Go!" she said, turning on her heel and running into the nearby canyon. He began to follow her. "NO!" she shouted, "Go the other way!" She sped up.

Anakin stopped. His eyes darted back and forth looking for Eva. "Other way?! Eva where are you!" He couldn't see anything but shadows out of his right eye, and the darkness of the night sure wasn't helping.

Eva ran at top speed, hoping that Anakin had understood that splitting up would divide them, making it easier to take them on. She heard blasters going off behind her, and turned to see the speeder behind her firing at her. She jumped out of the way of one blast, then dove off behind a rock and activated her lightsaber.
