I've only really jut started using colour in my drawings and Im not great at the colouring bit, I want my drawings to look more realistic, what can i do to acheive this?
Pointers anybody? Tips? Suggestions? cookies?

Oh, wow! Very nice drawing. My only suggestion is to keep practicing. I think you did her hair fine, but for her skin... maybe try to even the colors out a bit, have them more gradual... but overall, I think you did awesome. Much better than I could, anyway. *hands Eru some cookies*

like Mae said, the only thing i could think of was evening the colors. What brand of colored pencils do you use? if it's something like prismacolor, you can actually buy a blending pencil that smooths out the pencil strokes. Very nice for things like skin.

I think it's a beautiful sketch already, actually.
I couldn't think of what you have to improve on...but if anything I'd recommend perhaps using a different form of coloring material? Just try around and experiment, I suppose, see what works out best.

I'd recommend using watercolour pencils... it means you can blend colours more, and get rid of pencil-strokes.
*Looks at picture without really focusing on it* I think it make it look more realistic, work on your shading. Perhaps more depth needed on the hair? And the darker strands are perhaps a bit too dark? and maybe the shading on the check is... um...
Basically, practise and experiement! It's very a very good picture - especially the shape of it!
