Bruce took the coffee without looking up, but when the voice registered in his brain, he looked up sharply at it's owner. "Mia?" he mouthed silently, so as not to disturb his meeting. "Is that you? Can we talk later? This meeting's nearly over."

A man in a purple suit was sitting on a wooden chair. The room was deadly quiet, and those who were around were watching what was going on. "Straight Aces!" He exclaimed with a mad laugh.

The man to his right looked at The Joker, "Show me."

"Hahaha... you asked for it," The Joker laid down his cards and they all were Jokers. The man to his right stood up and prepared to punch The Joker, but as soon as he stood up he was grabbed by two men wearing clown masks. The Joker stood up and casually took out a grenade, glancing around the casino.

"Now, lets not get to hasty," The Joker licked his lips then let out a madman laugh. He strode over to the cashier and picked up the chash-box.

"Hey. You can't take that!" The cashier exclaimed.

The Joker turned around, the money box in hand. "And why not?"

"Be-be-cause i-" The man was cut off by the sound of a gun.

As the madman examined his work he spoke, "Start loading the truck." He turned around and tossed the cash-box to one of his henchman. The Joker then strode over towards a box-machine which was a game in the casino. However, it would also contain cash. The Joker placed his leather-gloved hand on the machine. "And a couple of these." He tapped it once then strode off in a new direction, "And the table." He pointed his finger at the table where he had been playing poker moments ago.

The Joker glanced around the room and looked at the casino owner who was madly dashing towards the phone which was right by the madman. The Joker strode over to the man calmly, kicked the man in the groin so he fell to the ground. When the man yelled out in pain the Joker placed the grenade in the mans mouth.

"Let's get out of here." The Joker stated as he took out the pin-insert and strode away. Within a minute the place will have exploded.

Quickly, The Joker's henchman killed the remaining people in the building and then The Joker killed off all of his henchman. No need to have anyone connected to him.

After climbing into the truck, he shut the back door of the trunk then made his way towards the front of the semi. Soon he was sitting in the drivers seat.

The Joker wiggled his fingers, rolled his shoulders back then honked the horn. Then, gripping the steering wheel, he swerved recklessly onto the packed streets of Gotham.

[[Bruce knows Peyton aswell. She is the resident computer nerd and Bruce's best friend. She always works with Batman at night]]

Peyton was sitting in the meeting along with Bruce. THey were discussing several issues and the computers at Wayne enterprises was one of them. To ehr these meetings were so droll. She just wanted to work on the computers and go home at the end of the day.

Hearing an exchange of words that weren't about the meeting, Peyton's attention was turned to Mia and Bruce. She gave a small smile and couldn't help but chuckle. Always paying attention to something else at his own company meetings. That's bruce wayne.

The Joker had parked the semi-truck in an alley off to the side of his 'house.' His 'house' was an abandoned apartment. Quickly, The Joker unloaded the truck, and brought all the stolen goods inside his home.

After everything was carefully arranged to his liking, The Joker sat down on an old sofa and laid down the cash on a stained coffee table. He licked his lips as he looked at the money, and after a moment he began sorting it. One pile was a pile to buy more weapons of mass destruction such as his gernades. Another pile was to buy decks of cards. Two other piles were for necessities - food and the such like - and one pile was for burning. So there were a totle of four piles.

Bruce heard a small chuckle coming from Peyton. He looked at her as if to say "your next" but just smiled and gave her a small nod. The meeting would end soon enough, besides all he had to do was be there and look like he knew what was going on.

When the meeting ended, Bruce was the first one up and on his way out the door to meet Mia. "I wasn't paying much attention, Peyton. What was that all about anyway?"

Peyton chuckled to herself at his look, she shook her head and focused on the last few minutes of the meeting.

When the meeting ended, Peyton was right behind Bruce smoothing some wrinkles from her skirt. "Well it was about a new possible partnership with a company in Hong Kong, going over the company policies again and the most important part you missed was me giving the update on computer systems and new software being installed." she said taking a deep breathe. He missed quite a bit.

"Hong Kong? There was something about Hong Kong in the news the other day. I should know the company policies, I wrote them. I'm sure whatever you've done with the computers is more than I could do." He smiled at this last comment, he'd been ticking off the items on his fingers as he spoke. Then he looked around before leaning down to speak in a quieter tone of voice "And Peyton, that young lady was Mia, the girl that we took out of the Joker's clutchs nearly nine years ago. I don't think she remembers it, but... she said something that made me think that in her subconcious, she knows who I am. That's got me worried. Do you want to come with me while I talk with her?"

Peyton remembered that day well. It was a sad day for that poor girl. "Sure Bruce. I'll go with you." she said softly. She didn't mind doing things for Bruce. He was like her best friend.

With the telephone ringing loudly, Gordon woke up among the pile of paper mountain, accidentally great deal of it down off the table with the uncontrollable swing of his elbow towards the hill of the paper mountain. Gordon cursed under his breath as he heard the phone buzzed for the second time at his desk. As rapidly as his hands worked their way through the scattered waste of papers to get his hands on the phone, as slowly his head was working. At last, he found the phone and heard it ringing like the fifth time.

"Gordon speaking" he managed to utter words. Commissioner Loeb was on the line. "Gordon. For god sake, what took so long?" Gordon answered with a rather calm voice, nothing giving out of his sleepy manner. "Sir, I was busy with filling out the forms you asked me to do before the dawn." Commissioner would not have had thought of easing a bit his bad tempered manner upon him unless something of utmost importance came up. "Gordon. We got a call from the casino's owner who said that their money was stolen by a man. I need you to look into this situation. Have a back-up with ya".

Gordon listened to whatever Comish said in the best possible way he could. "Sir, anything we got about who might be the criminal like appearance or any feature that likely you can give it to me." Loeb stopped for a second, sighed before answering the question. "I do not know if you could listen to me without laughing this on the phone but the casino owner said it was sort of man who happened to come by with the make up like a clown. You know red lips, pale face, outlandish style of dressing." Gordon would not dare to laugh while speaking an authority higher than him though he had to admit this was quite strange. "I will head to the casino right away, Commissioner"

The Joker sat in thought on the ragged couch. He would laugh inside his mind, thinking about how the cops would react when they came across the Joker card on a table in the casino. It would be hilarious. He could see their faces now. The Joker burst out laughing, but stopped and glanced around. He had some plans to make. Tonight he planned on striking the local bank.
