Jake was normally quite quick, but his boots were not exactly snow boots and not meant for snow, so he tripped and stumbled a bit. At least his blue knit hat kept the heat inside his body as much as it could and kept his ears warm. He always hated cold ears.
So as Rie ran, he couldn't catch up to her as fast as he could have on most days. "Jakey! How dare you use such a childish nickname on me..." He called out as he tossed the snowball, missing Rie.
A few more steps and he hurled his body forward, wrapping his arms around his friend and falling into a huge snow drift. So much for trying to keep himself out of the snow.

[[AHHH!!! haha, yes you is Ara!!!]]
Jacob had Rie pinned in the snow drift, their bodies hidden beneath the cold. He knew that he overpowered her with his height and weight, but all he could do was laugh as he looked down at his friend. Eyelashes kissed his cheeks several times as he simply stared at his friend...
Breath mingled with the air causing it to become visible, he had noticed before that his friend was uniquely beautiful, but seeing her vibrant orange hair haloing around her head in contrast to the pure white snow... his breath caught.
Then as if the world around them had stopped, he felt her lips on his own chilled petals. The bitter cold that he felt was soon replaced with a pleasant warmth that her embrace held for him as he returned the kiss, a hand caressing her cheek.

It took a few moments for Henrietta to finally realize what was happening, feeling Jake stroking her face and returning the kiss. The logical part of her screamed inside for her to take a minute and think about the whole situation, but the impulsive part of her was winning out as her fingertips became tangled in his dark tresses. Finally, she pulled away from him, gasping for air. She felt her pulse beginning to slow back down and time that had seemed to stop had now returned to normal. She could hear her friends calling for her, worried that she had become lost in the tangle of pine trees. She felt a chill go down her spine, not because of the cold, but perhaps because of what had just taken place. "Jake... I -" Rie just couldn't seem to find the right words to describe how she felt, so instead she just continued to hold him tight against her shivering body.

Johnathon hunched his shoulders closer together as the icy wind tried to blast through his coat. Slightly annoyed at her being right, he silently thanked his mom for pushing his heavy brown coat on him that morning. He usually preferred just sweatshirts, but today - his reviere was broken as a snowball whizzed past his face. Startled but laughing, John looked up to see Mr. Collins get one right in the kisser as two of his friends ran off the other way. Jake and Rie disappeared from sight in the tangle of pine trees.
"Jake! Hey, Jake! Come on, where'd you get to?" He called to his friend. Well, they were friends in a way. John tried to talk to the boy often, but it wasn't like they'd hung out every night or anything. Turning, he beckoned to Chase, beside him. "Think we ought to find them before they lose themselves in some Valley Forge hut?" He said with a grin.

Jacob's heart beat wildly within his chest, never before had he been affected by a simple kiss like this before, but he wasn't sure if it was the cold enviroment or something more. It was probably best that he not think about it, knowing that if he had to think about it, he would find answers that he wasn't ready to accept. Not that he wasn't sure of himself and his feelings towards his friend Rie... she had been one of his first friends when he had moved to Gallagher High School. Her outgoing personality and uniqueness. It was something he missed from the Tampa lifestyle, that everyone was so diverse... it was just new feelings now and he would have to think soon... even Jake's thoughts were confusing.
The kiss felt like both forever, and yet not long enough, then their lips parted. "Rie...we should get out of the snow... I am pretty sure laying in snow is not going to be good with my attire..." He laughed softly as he reluctantly stood up off the warmth of Rie's body. Holding out his hand he helped his friend up, but he did not let go of said hand. It was then that he heard his name being called out...was that John?
The voice sounded quite distant actually, which confused him since him and Rie had not moved that far away from the rest of the group earlier. "Over here..." He yelled out, quite the genius statement of himself actually. Way to be descriptive, Jake...

"Over here," John muttered. "Gee, how helpful. Not, 'over by this clump of trees,' or 'over under this hill,' but no, 'over here'." Yet there was a smile on his face as he wandered in the general direction of the voice. Man, they must have gone farther than I thought, he thought to himself after trekking for a while through the snow. The wind seemed to pick up out of no where, gusting around him and swirling flakes into small eddies around his feet. Out of no where, he stumbled upon Jake and Rie.
"I think we ought to be getting back. The weather seems to be changing and I doubt we'll be staying much longer," he said to them as he looked back the way he came.

Through the thickness of the blizzard, sounds of snow crunching was heard. If a personed listened closer, or squinted their eyes in the direction of the noise, they would be able to make out a white horse. A tall man sat upon this horse. His expression was grim. His army was currently camping in more than 1,000 huts back in the open Valley by the name of Valley Forge. Why was he not with them? Because he had so much on his mind that he had needed time to think alone.
This was George Washington. Yes, the George Washington who stood at six feet, two inches and weighed 175 pounds.
As George looked down at the ground with his cool blue-grey eyes, thoughts wandered through his mind. It had only been a month since they had arrived at the Valley, but already they were suffering. He did not know that they would have to last six months there, either. His entire army was poorly-fed, ill-equiped, and weary from all the marching. The clothing was inadequate as well, and already some of his army members were falling ill.
George looked up when he heard a noise however. It sounded like someone had yelled 'Over here.' Gently, the military leader guided his horse in a new direction. It hurt a little when he held the reins of the bridle - for his leather gloves were really worn down. He clicked his tongue at the roof of his mouth to urge his horse into an easy trot.
When he thought he was close enough, George slowed the horse down. With his hand he tightened the dark blue cloak which was around his lean and wiry , yet muscular frame - so that none of the red cloth lining inside was shown. Then, he adjusted his navy hat. He digged the heels of his black boots into the horses side so the horse was walking at a brisk walk.
"If anyone is out here please show yourself," George Washington yelled, his voice full of authority. He had stopped his horse by large snow drifts. "If you are British, I am armed and prepared to take you hostage. If you are American, I welcome you as a friend." He added in the same very loud voice.

Chase watched silently and remained where he was as Rie and Jake dashed away, leaving Mr. Collins helplessly standing there very much unable to control anyone. He chuckled to himself at the sight of the blank and dumbfounded look on the teacher’s face, although he also couldn’t help but feel slightly bad. At least it was adding some excitment to the cold, dreary weather. He turned away from watching the teacher to John. A gust of cold wind came up as he made his reply, “yeah.” he looked where the two had disappeared before following John through the tangle of trees. Faintly in the distance he heard Jake’s call. For a moment Chase turned and looked back to where they had come from. The snow was picking up and seemed to be quickly covering their tracks, he began to worry about the safety of this. He was still looking back when he almost collided with the now stopped John. He looked back and saw Rie and Jake. “I agree,” he nodded, looking up at the sky. “I don’t think…” another gust of wind came up, he paused thinking ‘this isn’t good, I wonder if Mr. Collins even looked at the weather before coming?’ when the wind and chill had calmed a little he said, “we need to leave.” Suddenly, Chase jumped at the sound of a fifth voice added to the foursome.

James stood at the edge of camp. He was cold, tired and hungry. His feet were also cold. To James this was very important. Cold feet, might mean forstbit or illness of some kind. He watch the woods around him. General Washington had left some time ago. James squinted his eyes watching what he thought was the General but was not sure. Should he tell someone that there was a figure, James changed his mind, the figure was moving away. James would watch and wait.

[[That was a great GW, Joker! ]]
Henrietta did not let go of Jake's hand as he lifted her out of the snow drift, even as John and Chase made their way over. "Aww, come on party poopers - the fun is just starting!" She rolled up another snowball with her free hand and chucked it in Chase's direction. However, her aim was off, and the snowball landed some distance away, in the face of a man on a white horse. Rie gasped and rushed forward to apologize, where she was met with raised guns and angry soldiers.
"Stand back," one of them commanded, "and provide an answer, now! Are you loyal to the crown?"

[[ Thank you Aramel!! =) ]]
George Washington turned his head slightly when he heard some of his soldiers. Obviously, they had decided to follow him. They did that a lot. Claiming they were 'Protecting their leader.' At least they are doing their duty.
The horse's right hoof stamped impatiently on the ground. As soon as George turned his head back he was nabbed by a snow-ball. He raised his right hand and wiped all the snow off of his face.
When he saw a young lady rush forward his eyes narrowed slightly. "Answer the question miss." He ordered.
He then glanced at her outfit. What kind of dis-respectful lady is this? Running around in pants instead of a dress? And where is her husband? Many questions flooded Washington's mind. He would hold his tongue though, and interrogate her and the others back at camp. Then, he saw the other three students. They too were garbed in unusual attire.

Chase moved his head to the side, dodging the snowball even if he didn’t need to. He was about to reply to Rie but thankfully was spared, since she had sparked his temper not to mention he had always had a short temper with her anyway. This wasn’t fun… at least not for the poor teacher. And it also wasn’t fun because the weather was worsening didn't that girl ever think of real things like this? He rolled his eyes and looked to see where the snowball would hit. His jaw nearly dropped open when he heard the click of several firearms and through the snow he saw several soldiers. His mind stopped, they were in big trouble now. Had they trespassed? Were these police? they didn't act like it. Suddenly his mind clicked. This was a reenactment. He moved over to her and said, “we’re here with our teacher, Mr. Collins. On a field trip.” he was confident that now everything would be ok. Reenactments were always cool to watch, anyway especially when the people doing the reenactment acted like they were truly part of that time period and wouldn’t move out of their acting for anything. So this should be no different, he thought. Just play along.

Washington turned to look at the young lad who had spoken, "I no not what you speak of. This 'field trip,' as you call it is not what is going on. Now, answer the question." He stated.
"Are you loyal to the crown?" That was the most important question to ask right now. If they were loyal to the crown, he would take them as hostages. It wouldn't do to have the British wandering about.
