Wow... it has been at least an age, hasn't it? I'm sorry I was away for so long. I just... lost my love for Snape-ing is all, but now I think I've got it back.

There really isn't much to discuss with this one I suppose. *shrug* It just caught my eye that even Snape doesn't suggest any real plan. If Dumbledore'd been there I think they may have come up with something...

PoA discussion is coming up next.. If I make it til my next post that is.

I'm beginning to think this club has died and gone to Snape-y heaven or else everyone is just really busy. Anyhoo, I'm back, as promised, with PoA Snape discussion galore. Let's see where this goes...

We are introduced to 2 new magical creatures in this book - the Dementor and the Boggart. What memories do you think arise when Dementor's are near Snape? What is Snape's Boggart?

- Why has Lupin earned this look? I think it's improbable that it stemmed from his anger at not getting the DADA job once again. It also seems odd that it would be a schoolboy grudge considering the fact that Remus had always been in the background during the marauders' escapades.

I think that's enough for now. I've still got 3 other places I'd like to discuss in PoA.

Yay, a most needed resurrection of the lovely Snape-y club! Teh Eä is in... although she has visitors over the weekend, so she won't be back and postin until next week... but she's still here!!

W00t! I'll be waiting on you m'dear. I thought it was about time we got back to some hardcore Snape-ing.

Maan, I'm feeling lazy... so tired after having visitors.. which were actually her two cousins.. family is great but... yeah.. they drain your energy too!!

I'm so HP rusty at the moment it's really embarrassing... Dementors.. sorta envelop the victim in sadness and bad memories when they are near, right? So one would think Snape had quite a problem with Dementors considering his life in general... sad childhood memories... the death of the love of his life... Were you thinking along those lines too?
I'm not sure of the Boggart.. Snape has walked dark paths and may have seen things there when he experienced with dark magic that ought to haunt his dreams ...

Concerning Lupin... as usual I don't remember the scene from the book, but I imagine Snape first of all wants the DADA classes so much that he'd automatically hate anyone who teaches them. Secondly, I think he was very surprised that Dumbledore had hired a were-wolf... even if it was Lupin.. but still..

Seeing as the HBP movie thread has become a little more active now, I was wondering if we could get some Snape discussion going here again.
Since it is a Half-Blood Prince movie and thus it does deal with Mr. Snape... how much (preferably adult!) Snape *coughAlanRickmancough* do you think we will see?

Alright, do you know why I can't acces the Half-Blood Prince site? I just tried now because I needed a dosis of Snape-y-ness but in vain.
More particularly I needed information from the costume makers at the movies. I wanted something along what their thoughts were and if they did think in vampire/Dracula themes when the created his costume!I have no idea what Legolas plushies are, but that Snapey cartoon is cute!

Welcome to the dungeons! The Snape clubby liveth!
We've been having a chapter-by-chapter book discussion on the Snape-related goodies, or that is we did the last time the club was active. If Larael has time she'll hopefully return to lead the book discussion. I'm a bad HP fan, haven't read the first books in years... but I follow the discussion the best I can.

Hmm... that's really strange with the HBP site, it was so well-established loaded with information. Does any of you know other good Snape sites?

Ooh a book by book discussion. That sounds so lovely! I am just starting the first book again, but now that I have a year >< to reread them all, I will probably go slower so that I finish the 6th book right before the film.

I'm here, and I feel absolutely awful for not bothering to post here. For all my Snape love I just couldn't post here for some reason. I'm sorry for letting all of you down. At the beginning of the summer I was planning to have us through PoA and maybe GoF, but I don't think that's going to happen. For sure I'll have PoA stuff up tomorrow.

Until then, has everyone seen some of the new HBP pics with Snape in them? And how did everyone feel concerning the lack of Snape in the HBP teaser trailer?

As for the lack of Snapeish... I think I explained all that I could in the HBP movie thread or whatnot... but I don't mind it not in the teaser trailer... but not in the real trailer, then I would be uber upset

I seem to be agreeing with you a lot Panneth. I was upset the first time through watching the teaser trailer. I mean, come on. Half Blood Prince=Snape. But the explanation of Voldy being the main focus of the book...yeah. If we don't get Snape in the next thing that comes out, I'll be mad. Whether it be another teaser or the real thing, we'd better get something.

On a side note, I'm loving the "pwned them all" icon there.
