Itachi shrugged and headed towards the front doors. He had heard someone knocking. Opening them, he looked at the couple and greeting them. "Ah, Nienna and Karl. Welcome. I'm sorry, but my wife Aranel is upstairs at the moment or else she would have greeted you herself."


Aranel pondered. "I wonder as well. Come let's go and check on everyone else since we're done here." She headed back out the room and down the hall.

"It's a large family. Goldleaf has so many relatives," Boromir said. He smiled at Nienna and Karl, the newlyweds in the family.

Goldleaf followed her mother from the room and spotted her husband and father greeting Nienna and Karl at the door.

Nienna smiled, "It's okay Itachi! It's really good to see you!"

"I'd say the same to you," replied Itachi with a small smile. Aranel walked down the stairs and headed to her husband's side. "Nienna dear! You and Karl came! Glad to see you both here!" Itachi looked at her and silently brooded. So much for his and Boromir's plan. Ah well, it'll just have to wait for the next opportunity.

Nienna beamed as she and Karl stepped into the house, "Yes! We came! Good to see you too Aranel!" Karl looked at Itachi with a look that sort of said, Hey! You planning an evil scheme? Can I join?

Itachi grinned at Karl and said, "Ara dear, I'll entertain the guys. Why don't you take Nia and Goldy and give them a quick tour upstairs before dinner?" Aranel looked at him perplexed beyond belief. Itachi offering to be the host? What is going on? She looked at him suspiciously but agreed nonetheless. "Come on girls, lets do as the man says." She turned and headed back up the stairs.

Nienna grinned as Nerissa came over and hugged her. "How awsome! A tour!" She said enthusiastically, before following her cousins up the stairs.

Karl watched the girls leave with a small smirk before grinning back at Itachi, "So Itachi...what are you planning to do while the ladies take a tour?"

Aranel laughed at their enthusiasm, it was catching. "To be truthful, I myself haven't seen much of the house. So if we get lost, please spare me!" Turning to them slightly and still walking, she said grinning all the while, "As you can see here, we're currently walking up the grand staircase. But it's not the only one in this vast mansion."

Itachi smirked. "Boromir here and I were planning on giving them a scare. Something like making the doors and windows slam shut on them and then jumping out at them. I even think there's some suit of armour in the hallways. Whoever wishes, can use that as a disguise." He chuckled quietly. "How does that sound? Unless you have any other ideas."

Neri smiled broadly, and grabbed onto Nellie's hand. "Then we'll explore the whole place together, from top to bottom!" She ran her hand along the smooth railing of the staircase. "Fine craftsmanship, indeed."

Walter looked from Boromir to Itachi to Karl, and grinned. They all looked so fun and... mischievious. "Neri's pretty jumpy... this oughtta be fun!"

"Top to bottom indeed! I just hope we don't miss dinner!" joked Aranel. "Come along Neri, before we spend more than 15 mintues admiring the works and we do end up missing it." She pulled her cousin along and down the hallway on the second floor. "Should we go through each and every single room for now on this floor? We can try..." she laughed.

Itachi smirked his trademark smirk and said, "I think we should follow them at a distance and wait for the right moment to do this." He waited for the girls to disappear into the hallway before climbing the stairs himself.

"I wouldn't want to miss dinner!" Neri laughed as she was pulled along by an energetic Nellie. "Why not," she said. "We don't want to miss anything, and that also includes not missing dinner!" Her eyes sparkled.

"Right," Walter agreed, before following Itachi upstairs, climbing up the stairs silently.

Karl smirked, "Oh yes. This should be fun indeed." Still smirking, he silently followed them up the stairs. "So Itachi." He murmured to the ninja, "How well do you know this house?"

Throwing the first door open, Aranel stepped into a sitting room. "It's nothing much," she said. "I guess, just to relax or spend some quiet time."


Senses keenly following his wife and her family, Itachi replied softly, "Not long really. Aranel and I arrived here only just yesterday and we've been busy fixing everything up. So we haven't seen much at all. I'd think the girls would know something about it, but it seems, this mansion hasn't been used for a long time."
