A good way to put it Ms. G. Exploitation was the perfect word to describe it.

@ Mephiston: You're right. He was a Roman soldier... from Turkey!

I would more define it as commercialization, but exploitation is perfectly accurate.

Wooo! Cricket started today! England 200-3 at the close. It was a rather on/off day. Bad light and rain stopping play regularly. But we did well. I'm just disgusted that Sky have the rights to the coverage, so I can't watch it. All I get is some stingey 45 minutes slot on channel5. One of the high points of my summer was being able to spend some really sunny, warm days indoors, watching the cricket :P

Anyway... COME ON YOU WHITES!!!

:P

padawan - the FA cup is the biggest tournament in english football, and the oldest in the world.

one of my flatmates supports man u, so he went very quiet about the matter afterwards.

I didn't see the Champions League final.. but I heard it through the open window... quite interesting, although I thought no one scored int he first half because I got mixed "Noooo"s and "arrghhh"s!!! :P

Got a question for you Brits. Do you know why the UK seems to be the only country that uses the -co.uk in e-mail addresses and websites where everyone else don't have the 'co'. What does it mean?

I've no idea why other countries don't have it. It means 'company' I think. Just the same as 'org' means 'organisation'.

Hey all you peoples! I am back from long travail, and ask what we are talking about. Also, to whoever wrote men always talk about cricket or summat, the best part of us normal people dont watch cricket, finding it excessively dull.FA cup may be yours chelsea but we won the premiership so :p
Also, sorry liverpool fans for losing the Champions league. Im not usually supportive of liverpool but I did want them to win there. Oh well, that was just bad luck.
I will be having like 12 and a half hours of GCSE's next week so keep me in your thoughts! And I promise I will post when that week is finished!

Thanks for trying to explain it Darrell. I just always wondered about it when I added Brits on MSN. And I can't see why Hotmail would have 'co.uk' in the address...

Apparently, I didn't select the right country when I signed up for a Hotmail address because I don't have a co.uk address. My Yahoo account does though.. :confuzzled:

The hotmail address does vary quite a bit. I for example have .de and most of my friends have .com, so don't worry :D
