What's your veiws on guns Jax? Omg don't tell me you LIKE them? :o
I may never speak to you again.
Joooookes; i'm part of a shooting club lol and my brother was 14 when he got his first gun, we now have three.
And before people say 'omg gun crime' we live in the country and he is VERY contentiouse, he compeats at his shooting club. Guns for us are something quite normal but we treat them with respect; they are not the 'cool' symbols some kids take them as.

ITS NEW YEARS EVE :)
I can't wait i'm going to my freinds house tonight; we're just haveing a small gathering of our group and celebrate the new year in fine style :). I havn't seen my best freind for all of christmas and i really miss him and my school freinds as well and i can't WAIT :)

*cheers*

I agree completely Anduril. (me and a couple of the others had this conversation before but they don't quite agree with guns. But either way I respect their those views. :) )

I love guns... don't know why I just do. They are fun to shoot and they are very usefull tools, but like you said you must treat them with respect and be very responsible because they are dangerouse.

I grew up with guns in the house and no one in my family has ever had an accident with a gun. And no, they are not a "cool" symbol.. that's just rediculouse when people think that.*shakes head*

We have at least 15 or 16 guns of various kinds, deer guns, small rifles, hand guns, shot guns, muzleloaders...

So yeah... you can own a rifle here in the states when you turn 18 but you can't own a handgun until you are 21....

lol I would love to compete in shooting competitions but there are none around here and I am not sure how good i would do. :P Your brother is fortunate. :)

Hapy (early) New years (New Years Eve) to you all indeed! :D

Sounds exciting Anduril... myself I am going to be going for guitar lesons today. :P So nothing special but it's always fun!

Hope you have a blast with your friend!

Yeah, I don't think the champagne thing is happening.

Nothing going on for New Years at my house... probably not even fireworks, especially since there's a burn ban for our county. Not that that will stop people, but... yeah. We should be hearing firecrackers sometime this afternoon or early evening.

Happy New Year Everyone! New Years was great here! Even though it was blizzarding the entire time! I played with the Bagpipe band and danced as well! Our show was awesome! I've been told it was the best show we've ever done! :D Yay!

After that, I saw an Irish band and they had Irish dancers! They were really cool! However, I have to admit, even though the Irish dancers were cool, I like being a Highland dancer, we get to dance with swords. :P And then I went home and watched the ball drop in New York City!

So, it was a busy New Year, but a good New Year. I'm happy to see everyone had a good New Year's Eve Celebration.

So, any New Year Resolutions?

^ Lol we had a snowstorm here as well which did kind of put a damper on New Years Eve celebrations. Plus it was bitter cold, feeling like several degress below 0 F. But people still came out anyway and had fun despite the weather. I went out for some of the events and I was so cold  Boston had to cancel their midnight fireworks show because it was too windy they could've been dangerous it let off.

@Sidawethiel: We had Irish dancers here as well :-D I took a video of the final dance and they did it with no music and they did great.

As for resolutions, I haven't thought of anything major, just hopping to put more time and work into my fanfics and I'm trying to put together, improve my photography skills, get more rigorous about my workouts and perhaps consider going back to school. (never went to college  )

Yeah, well I am pretty use to that kind of cold. Winters can be very bitter here and I've dealt with it my entire life so it doesn't bother me very much.

Cool... irish dancing as in the tap dancing river dance type stuff? I've seen some of that and it's insane what those people can do!! It doesn't look as hard as it really is but if you try it... just moving your feet and legs that fast and in such perfect timing... O_o got to admire that kind of skill. Verry cool.

:yuck: I'm glad it doesn't get that cold here typically. lol

yeah... I guess if you were used to the cold it would not be so bad. *nods* I still don't know how easily i personaly would get used to it. lol

i guess it's kind of like the people in Alaska who go around in T shirts when its 40 degrese because they are so used to the -50s and such during the winter! lol Can't imagin that. *shakes Head*

Yay! Irish Dancing! It looks so cool and fancy! I admire you for doing it!

Oh the cold. A few weeks ago it was -30F with the windchill. It was so cold, the boiler for my apartment broke! I had an inch of ice on the inside of my windows! Finally it got up to 20 and I just wore a hoodie around. It made me laugh because I kept reading about other places in the country where it was getting down to 30 or 40 and the people said they were freezing. I guess...relative to what they're used to.... :teehee:

Yeah, it got up to 80 yesterday, because Texas can be a bit stupid that way. :P But then today the high was 47, which is closer to the norm for us. So, needless to say, Texans would be among those who are freezing once it hits the 30s.

But in the summer I also work 9 hours a day outdoors, in the 100-degree heat (sometimes as high as 105-110), so I don't feel like too much of a wimp. Plus I do actually like the cold, despite my low tolerance for it. :teehee:

^ What part of Texas do you live in? I live near Austin, and I can definitely vouch for the temperature thing. The weather here drives me crazy, it changes from day to day sometimes. One day the high is in the 70s or 80s, and then the next day a cold front has come through and the highs are in the 30s. Bah.

July, August and September are torture here, too. I prefer the cold, though I don't want to spend long amounts of time outside. My theory is that if it's cold, you can always put more clothes on, but you can only take off so many articles of clothing when it's hot.

Hah. I'm not the only one to come up with that theory, then. *runs off to tell cold-hating mother* She thought I was insane when I explained my logic to her.

Anyway, I live up in the DFW area. Aka the spot where the hot tropical air and the frigid northern air frequently collide. Our temperatures generally rely entirely upon which air mass is pushing harder. We're suppose to get maybe get a bit of ice/snow tomorrow, though. Which would be kinda nice, I guess. It would almost make me forgive the random 80-degree weather on Saturday.

*bounces in* HAH! I feel so old posting here. ><I>< It's been in the 50's all week and today it randomly jumped to about 80. -.- Coincidentally, I live in a pocket of L.A. county that actually has something resembling seasons. =)
