					| The most amusing scene for me would have to be in A Conspiracy Unmasked, when Frodo finds out that he hasn't been quite as clever and secretive as he had hoped, and that Sam, Merry and Pippin know rather a lot more than he thought they did.
Frodo's reaction is so comical, and he's absolutely flabbergasted. Merry and Pippin are both pleased as punch and Sam's embarrassed and red as a beet. I can't help laughing.

					| And when Pippin floods the floor with his bathwater! Or something to that effect. That is forever my memory of that chapter - Pippin singing and getting water everywhere.
I do have to say that is one of the most lighthearted scenes in the book. It's hard to think of others. I was going to say something about Ioreth and her chatter, and then remembered this was the FotR board. Three is Company is a fun chapter, but I have to agree that Frodo's reaction to everyone - especially Sam - knowing what he was up to is just brilliant._________________going on a journey through my old claims

					| ^ I agree. The bathwater scene is most amusing. I actually memorized it once for a comedy night... _________________ Married Artemis Fowl on July 16, 2007

					| I agree that these are most amusing scenes in FotR. I guess because hobbits are cheerful and really sneaky creatures. I really was cheered while reading these parts and that is difficult to do, I usually don't smile at the books a lot. And everything including Pippin is rather funny _________________

					| I always find the two scenes before and in the Mines of Moria with Gandalf and Pippin most amusing. "What are you going to do then?" asked Pippin, undaunted by the wizard's bristling brows. "knock on the doors with your head, Peregrin Took," said Gandalf. "But if that does not shatter them, and I am allowed a little peace from foolish questions, I will seek for the opening words." And.... "What's that?" cried Gandalf. He was relieved when Pippin confessed what he had done; but he was angry, and Pippin could see his eye glinting. "Fool of a Took!" he growled. "This is a serious journey, not a hobbit walking-party. Throw yourself in next time, and then you will be no futher nuisance. Now be quiet!" Zirakzigil ai menu Duzhuk! Zirakzigil, at your service!_________________

					| I love the bathroom scene too, and I agree Laesneniel, the parts between Gandalf and Pippin are funny. I like how after Bilbo left Gandalf tried to visit Frodo one day and he wouldnt let him in, "If you dont let me in Frodo, I shall blow your door right down your hole and out through the hill" that always makes me laugh. And when Aragorn hit the troll with the stick! _________________ Wed Killian Jones (Captain Hook) 4/20/13

					| Yes, Pippin/Gandalf scenes are funny The "Fool of a Took" is almost legendary! But Pippin deserved that, none the less, he was most reckless hobbit in the group ^^_________________

					| All the Pippin scenes are really funny, those are one of my favourites. But my most favourite is the very end, when Sam goes after Frodo. Elanor_________________ "If i were a knight of Rohan, i'd be capable of great deeds... but i'm not. I'm just a hobbit."-Merry

 Me: I am not!
Friend: Just because I said I didn't like Frodo you send me emails, pics, videos, and sites about him and argue every chance you get about how amazing he is.
Me: ...I will convert you to Frodo-ism.

					| Hmmm.....one of my favorites is "Merry..." "What?" "I'm hungry..." It's just this random, out of the blue line that comes out of nowhere lightening up the mood and bringing out more of the humor of hobbits.

My best friend in high school and I used to say this quote nearly every day before lunch! I would start it and we would go through the whole thing, and then she would start over, only instead of saying "Merry" she said "Ari," my nickname. XD Good times..._________________ Sig set and banner by the amazing Nurr!!
