Luna was gasping for air, and moved into the thick of battle. She found a sword on the ground, and picked it up without hesitation with a nod toward Siriel. The sword became engulfed in the blue flame, and weilded by her it was a dangerous and lethal weapon. She struck out, the heat of adrenaline rushing through her as she cut down more and more of the Uruk filth.

She was losing strength, and glanced down only to find a black arrow protruding from her side. How had she not felt that? She shook her head, deciding to ignore it. She battled on, her eyes aglow with her fire.

The Uruk numbers began to dwindle gradually till the only ones remaining on the field were the elves. Markus sprinted to Sirel and Luna instantly. "Are you alright?" he asked surveying each of them. Luna was stained thick with blood. His eyes widened with worry.

"Luna is badly hurt," Sirel gasped. "I couldn't defend her well enough." The elf ignored the gaping wound in her shoulder, concerned only for her companion. "That arrow worries me - we need to get her to a healer."

Luna swayed, fighting dizziness. "No...I'm fine..." she shook her head, stumbling towards the others, knowing more help was needed for the wounded. Her quick fingers snapped the arrow's post, leaving the tip in her. She knew it would be useless to try and get it out now.

Sirel gaped at her. "Luna, you're on the verge of collapse! You need medical attention. Come on, before you pass out." She gently took hold of Luna's arm. "We need you, Luna, more than you think. We can't afford to lose you."

Siriel's words came too late. A roaring filled Luna's ears, and her vision swirled, then blackened as she fell in a heap on the blood soaked ground. She entered a world of blackness, unaware of everything.

Markus gathered Luna into his arms carefully. "We will get you help Luna. Do not fear. Stay with us please." He turned and began to walk back to the fortress. A glint of silver caught his attention. It was the sword Luna used. There was something familiar about it. Markus had no time to dwell on the matter. Luna was fading. He had to get her to a healer.

The healing hall was buzzing with activity. A healer crossed to Markus, Sirel and Luna swiftly. Once Luna was settled on a bed, the healer began his work.

Luna knew nothing for some time, and was seeing images in her head. Familiar ones. Her parents? A tear ran down her face as she ran to them. But just before she reached them and their smiling faces and opened arms, pain jolted her awake.

She arched off the bed, her mouth open as pain wracked through her.

The healer continued to work on her, biting his lip tightly. Luna had indeed lost a lot of blood. It was no surprise that she was in agony.

Markus grasped Luna's hand. "I know it hurts, but you have got to fight through it. Come back to Sirel and I, please."

Luna could hardly hear him. Daggers were running her through. She gritted her teeth, drenched in sweat. How had she gotten here? Why had she not been able to join her family? She whimpered, her skin pale and her eyes glazed over as she clenched his hand.

"We're here for you Lona, just hold on. The pain will stop soon." Markus watched the healer nervously, biting his lip tightly.

He was right. Whatever the healer was doing, the pain was slowly numbing to a dull throb. "What..happened?" she rasped out, her glazed eyes turning to focus on Markus and Siriel.

"You suffered injuries. Some deep wounds. You lost a lot of blood. Not to worry though. You are in very capable hands." Markus smiled softly. "We won. The Uruk's retreated."

She let out a breath she hadn't even realized she had been holding. "Good." she whispered, closing her eyes again. She could rest now.

"That's right." Markus, nodded. "You should rest now. There is plenty time to relax now," he smiled at that thought. His mind fell back to thinking about the sword, Luna had been using. He knew it wasn't his sisters, but felt there was a connection somewhere.

Luna's head turned again, and her eyes opened once more. "Are you..?" she looked over him, then Siriel, making sure they had no injuries.
