BUMP
Blind Guardian are really good! I like some of their songs. Harvest of Sorrow is just so sad and melancholic! Not too into their whole Christian thing they've got going on, but hey I'm not the one to judge!

I  Blind Guardian.
Curse of Feanor is one of the best songs ever. Nuff said.
And welcome to the Club Arwen Arianna.

@Erulisse: That's one of the few songs I don't know *sadface* but I heard it's really good. Dangit, I HAVE to listen to it!
Oh. I think it's interesting that BG deal with so many different topics...mythology, philosophy, religion.... Hansi really thinks a lot when writing the lyrics....
@Raivynn: Thanks
Yeah, Curse Of Feanor is really cool....I wish they'd play it live....but they haven't yet....I hope they will in September *g*

*cries*
They're only coming to London. I'm very much unamused at the serious lack of power metal bands NOT touring the UK fully.

Oh you should definitely download Harvest of Sorrow! It's very sad and pretty. It's more of a ballad but oh so good!

@Raivynn: It's not their fault, they can only play at a certain place if they're invited....are you going to go to London? (I can tell you live far away from London, huh?)
I'll go to Trier in September,...I've never been to a concert...what's it like? Must be very loud *g* But I've heard that most metal bands don't play many concerts in the UK....I'm sorry for you.... This is one of the few moments I'm glad to be german....I can see BG live and don't have to travel half a day (just 2 hours )
@ Erulisse: I don't know how to download songs, but I try to get all albums... I have only 3 so far, Nightfall, Imaginations and Tales From The Twilight Hall (and Fly and Imaginations through the looking glass, the DVD)... I need another one for the journey to England in May....I'm afraid of the tunnel, so I'm going to listen to BG VERY loud *g*
maybe I'll buy the one with Harvest Of Sorrow on it...
------------------------
I heard there will be another BG festival in 2008 like they one in Coburg.... But first they'll release the orchestral project next year (and the new album of course). I read it's going to be some sort of LOTR soundtrack...I hope that's true *g*

Of course you can. Welcome, Welcome!
ArwenArianna: Lots of bands play the UK. But not the ones I want to see.
Amon Amarth, Rhapsody, Blind Guardian, Hammerfall, Korpiklaani, Finntroll (they need a new vocalist first ).
Aw this is your first gig? Good one to go to for your first. You'll have a complete ball.
Oh yeah I do live far from London. I'm further north...like way further.

@Daughter of Feanor: Welcome, dear!
@Raivyn: A friend of mine has the same problem...She's a huge Green Day fan, but missed their concert in Germany last year and it doesn't seem like they'd come here again too soon....
I didn't say that no bands play at the UK, I just meant that it's never the right ones and not at too many places *g* (but isn't that the fact everywhere? *g*)
You like Rhapsody? they're really cool...
Hmmm....I hope I like the concert, for I usually prefer being alone in peace *gg* ´But...I also love BG, so I'm quite sure it will be great.... BG 4EVER!!!! lol, I'm obsessed.... but since it is not Manowar I think I'll still be able to hear at least SOMETHING afterwards LOL...(BG music for example)

My apologies I misunderstood what you meant.
Rhapsody are amazing..one of the first power metal bands I got into along with Edguy and Lost Horizon.
P.S. I really don't like how that smilie is coded as 'punk'

LOL it could be both Punk,Metal and probably Cyber... Actually I think headbanging looks a bit....weird... *gg* And I also don't know why that sign is called "devil's horns" for it is actually the old germanic sign AGAINST evil *g*Ppl just seem to forget... but however, I like it *g*
Oh...I don't remember the first metal band I liked... it was probably Manowar.... or Deine Lakaien? or maybe Rhapsody....I don't know... lol actually I'm not even a metal *g* (I'm a goth, but I like metal)

What brought me into metal, as a lifestyle, was Dark Moor, then BG, then Rhapsody, Elvenking, and now the list goes on!
Well at least most of you live in Europe were you have a chance at seeing the bands live. I'm way out here in Canada. And for the love of metal I missed Rhapsodies 1 day concert in Toronto!!!(last year) They're releasing their live album from their Canadian tour this year (unless its out already) the Dark Secret I believe-not the same as in person though....

It's not the same as in person. Amon Amarth are releasing a 3 disc dvd called 'Wrath of the Norsemen' with tons of live footage. But..I want to see them in person. *sigh*
Arwen: I love headbanging...I can understand why some folks don't. But I don't have that many brain cells to lose so I can risk it. lol
First real metal band I got into all those years ago was Slayer. There sheer brutality was like nothing I'd ever heard before, I was hooked. Still love them to this day.

hmph... I`ve been away... well lol... I hate myself for not really listening to too many bands, just few when everyone else seem to listen to so many others

I'm just horribly addicted to metal. I crave more and more and more.
Also being a bit older most of the bands I liked say...15 years ago. I still like today. I just get more power from a different sub-genre.

I'm not into Slayer too much. My friend, he's a death metal junkie, he blasts the stuff on his headphones. I was in tears when he put them on me!
And headbanging is fun. I'ven't much hair to wisk around, but it's getting there!
