I dream of a world
of bliss and everlasting joy,
free of pain, suffering, or fear.

What would it be like?
I wonder constantly,
if I had the chance
to live in a world like that
if only for a little while?

Oh, how I wish that I could have that chance!
Please, oh please,
I pray to God,
please give that chance to me!
I want it more than anything,
I hunger and thirst for it.
Please!


My dream has come true,
granted by the grace of God.

Suddenly, I find myself in a strange world,
full of pure blue skies
and fresh long grasses.
The air is full of noises:
chirping of many birds,
a waterfall spilling over a cliff into a lake,
the sounds of conversation close by.

I am spotted and greeted by a woman,
tall with golden hair and blue eyes
dancing with laughter.
The others welcome me warmly
and accept me as one of their own.

It is beyond any doubt that this is the world of my dreams.

But this I have learned:
You cannot truly enjoy happiness
without enduring some sorrows.


In this I take comfort.
I pray to God
that I might return to my world.
The prayer is granted,
and I am back,
writing about the joy of that time.
I am happy,
and now only visit a world like that
in the written word
and in my dreams.

I like it a lot, too!! I wrote poetry as well, & i've just started, & it's very difficult to put emotions into words......sum are harder than others. but u def. seem to have an easy time doing it! Great job, & keep writing!!
