I have an insane urge to write a fanfic - I have ever since I got home from the movie - about that very thing, Elizabeth going on the ship :) I really don't see why she couldn't.

He probably could, but if he continues to do his job properly, then he'll only ever see her once every ten years.

How i understand it is that Davy was not doing his job properly, and thats why him and his crew went all fishy. He was supposed to be on the other side ferrying the souls, but he wasn't. And since he was on our side, thats why we saw him, if your on the FD, doing your job properly, you stay on the otherside, for ten years. Since Will is/was doing his job properly, thats why we only ever get to see him once every ten years.

I think thats how it works...

Well, actually, I think the fishy-faced-ness was because Tia/Calypso cursed Davy, but I'm not sure why. Even more insane urge to write a fanfic! Elizabeth trying to find Will...!

Ooooh... not that makes sense. I never thought about the FD being on the other side.... I think I understand that bit now.

Ah, well I am very glad to see that I was not the only one who was um...very mad....at Bootstrap Bill at least. :-D

EA, Thank you greatly for posting those lyrics. :-D

Warning Major spoilers throughout the rest of the post

Meldawen, Hello. (waves) I was wondering when you would come into this thread again. I cried when Will died to. Well I do not know that "cry" really is the word I am looking for here. It was more like bawling. Oh, and dumb me...I ran off and forgot to grab some tissues to take to the theatre. So there I was using my sash/scarf (that was around my waist, none the less) to dry to dry my tears. Needless to say, the boy (with a different group) thought that I was crazy. lol I am not sure if any one else cried durring that part though. I was too busy bawling myself to notice. What was funny though was that at that point both my sister and my mum turned and looked directly at me. They just knew that I would be all too pieces. lol Well here is a cookie for you (hands Meldawen a cookie)....I think that all of the Will fans could use a cookie right now. (nods)
Well, I sort of liked the scar across his chest. It was cute. (laughs) I can not help it. I am a fan girl majorly. (not Just because of his looks either though. Will had a great personality and Orlando can truely act :-D )
I agree with you whole heartily about the Will truely loving Elizabeth. Willing to wait ten years...now that is devotion, I say.
I also agree with you one hundred percent about Jack doing the "right" thing. As I said early that earned him my admiration to say the very least. Way too go for Jack!

JF, You are "married" to Norrington? How in Middle Earth did I not know this? :duh: Oh, well you need a cookie to. (hands JF a cookie)
Well, I do not know if All of the Willabeth fans took Will's "death" scene terrible hard but I know that I certainly did if I count. :-D lol
Well, I see that as Elizabeth's fault. Elizabeth played all three of the men for fools really. I understand her wanting to save Will (in CotBP) but using Norrington certainly was Not the way to do it. Also her using Jack's obvious feelings for her to save herself and Will and all of the other crew members (in DMC) was most certainly Not right. Trust me I flat out hated Elizabeth for those deeds for a very very long time...and to some extent still do. However I do not see it as nearly as much Will, Norrington, or Jack's fault(s). Jack let Elizabeth use him, Norrington let Elizabeth use him, and Will let Elizabeth use them and perhaps even his feelings to some extent but Elizabeth was the one pulling the strings. Then Bootstrap Bill was the one who put the sword through Norrington. So I blame Bootstrap Bill and Elizabeth (and the writters, if we want to get technical).

Now as for Elizabeth showing or not showing emotion at Norrington's, Will's, and Swann's deaths...I can not agree more with you, JF. I think that Elizabeth should have shed some tears at at least one of (if not all) of their deaths. I can understand her being (to some extent) angry and yelling but she went a bit overboard with it. She lost the man that she had had at least friendly feelings towards and at one point had been engaged to, her father, and the love of her life. I don't know about all of you but I cetrainly would have shed some tears. Her yelling because she was angry, upset, and in shock at first would have been fine but that being nearly the only reaction to their death(s) at all...just seemed strange. While we are on the subject Elizabeth's reaction(s) to their death(s) I must say that I found one of her lines to Will once he had been stabbed very, out of place. Boarderlinge strange even. The line that I am reffering to is the "You're allright" line. I was sitting there going, "He just got stabbed through the chest and is losing his grip on consciousness...even life itsself...he is not allright!" (rolls eyes) Did that line bother anyone else or was it just me?

Dark Queen of Angmar, Why do you think/feel that Will deserved to be stabbed by Davy Jones?

Once again all of the above is just my humble opinion.

He was really starting to anger me, Will imho, was jsut doing too much backstabbing etc. for his own good, amybe i noticed it more than the other characters, but it just irked me. He's matured, but in a way that i thought was not appropriate for his character... i dont know, its hard to explain. Plus, Davy's a cutie so.

I was going to marry Davy, and then i decided to wait to see what happened in AWE, so i didn't end up like poor JF over here.

Well actually...if Elizabeth is faithful for the next ten years and returns...the curse is thought as to be removed. If some have seen the scene after the credits-it gives major hints. There was a young boy with Elizabeth ten years later waiting to meet Will. There was some Calypso and Davy Jones dialogue removed in this scene. Probably so the audiences can assume their own guesses.

@ DD - Yeah, I got married on the first day of this year. *sobs* At least people who married characters that had already died knew that.... I think I'm the first to marry someone who is later killed. *wails*

Yeah, I hated Lizzie for how she used Jack as well. Heartless wench. And you're so right in what you say about her emotions..... very odd... and I remember that line... something like "you'll be alright"....... er.... no he won't. Ding dong.

@ Darky - I know what you mean. He definitely took a turn down the wrong path, did Will.

@ eowynfaramir4eva - How do you know about the dialouge and it's not a curse that Will has been given is it?

Thanks for the cookie, DD

I liked Will's development. It really helped to show that he's not second-to-Jack-Sparrow-nothing-but-a-pretty-face-Will-Turner, he's smart (brilliant) and devious and can be cunning but also loyal and faithful and devoted. He never gave up on Elizabeth. And he was doing what he had to. Jack was betraying people all over the place, and Will had to fight to make his way.

I feel satisfied, but also sad. It's a beautiful ending but I find myself remembering the old W/E of CotBP and wishing ever so slightly that we could have that W/E back. Only a little, though :)

Warning Major spoilers

Dark Queen of Angmar, Oh, okay. Thank you for answering my question. Well, I do agree that the way they devolped Will's character did irk me a bit as well at First. However I saw it as we were suposed to believe that Will had to do that and that he had come to release that. So I supose I can forgive it. (shrugs) I could always just be biased though. (laughs)

JF, Oh, I repeat. I am so so sorry. I wish that Norrington had not have died either. (hands JF another cookie)
I am very glad to see that I am not the only one who was bother by that. Oh, I know. I was biting my tounge in two to not shout at the movie screen, "You idtiot! He is lying there, with a sword sticking through his chest out of his back, bleeding, lossing consciourness, and you are out in the middle of the occean. I may not have a medical degree but I would say that that probabley would kill you in a hurry. So allright Will is (going to be) okay and I am the toothfairy!" (rolls eyes.
(rolls over laughing) Ding dong...now that is a very good adjetive for Elizabeth. I used idiot at the theatre but I think that yours is better. (laughs and then high fives JF).

Meladwen, You are very welcome. :-D Wonderful explanation! I agree with you once again. lol Oh, and by the way, nice banner.

EowynFaramir4ever, I have read that. The theory is is that if Elizabeth stayed faithful for those ten years, that Will's service upon the Dutchman would be over.(like you said) Now a friend of mine told me that there was a deleted scene that was suposed to explain that. Do you or anyone else here have any information on that? (high fives EowynFaramir4ever, yay for another fan of the wedding scene) :-D lol

Ah..yes but it's all about having the freedom of a pirate, eh? To survive sometimes you must betray other pirates. Jack has even more of my respect. He is. One way to prove that is when he declined Elizabeth's kiss. Technically Bootstrap Bill impaled Norrington with an object less like a sword. That I can't remember now... Ah...but if Norrington did fear death and joined the crew maybe there would've been a different outcome? I still liked his end.

BEST PARTS:
When Will and Elizabeth finally were married! That scence was so well done!

The meeting of the Pirate Counsel. That was so cool seeing all types of pirates from all over the world. (the Spanish one was my fav)

The very end when Jack got his ship stolen.....Again. :)

WORST PARTS:
The releasing of Calypsco. That was way too odd and out of place for me. And her voice? All loud and freaky sounding? I didn't like that at all.

When Jack had the two mini Jacks on his shoulder. That seemed a bit cartoonish.

When Will was stabbed! I cried so hard! I covered my face and sobbed when they finally cut away from that scene. Yeah I know I'm pathetic, but it was very sad. :( *points to sig*

Hmm... I don't think I like this theory.... it's as if they're desperately trying to get out of the hole they have dug themselves in - the hole being our love interests can never be together except one day every 10 years.

They should have either had it where Will was not the Captain of the Dutchman or else he is. They can't have it both ways.

To those who liked the lyrics to Hoist the Colours, you're welcome. I was really happy when I stumbled upon them myself since I didn't pay enoug attention to them in the movie.
I agree Gimli, the lyrics is obviously about Calypso and what happened to her back then. When Elisabeth and Barbossa meet Sao Feng's men in Singapore they also mention that 'the song has been sung', so it obviously has some special significance... probably about summoning the Brethren Court.

I thought that the mini Jacks was great, reminds me of Jimney Cricket, its a Disney classic

The realeasing of Calypso was really weird, i would had her turn into like a giant bird or something and dive into the ocean, none of this weird large tia, small dress, weird voice, turning into crab buisness. *ish inspired to draw tia in Calypso form*

i wonder if Jack knew that Tia was Calypso...

poor Norry, *goes to build Norry shrine in the backyard*
