WARNING!! I write very lengthy beginnings and details! My deepest apologies if I bore you!

----------------

Where: Some random place in Mirkwood. (Because I hate landmarks.... *twitch*)

When: 1300 of the Third Age

Historic Situation: Evil things begin to multiply again. Orcs increase in the Misty Mountains and attack the Dwarves. The Nazgul reappear. The chief of these comes north to Angmar, and some return to Wilderland. This is before the finding of the ring by Smeagol and prior to the Watchful Peace which lasted from 2063 to 2460 of the Third Age. P.S. Gondor still has a King :) Calmacil was his name and he was rather boring, only serving 10 years until the year 1304....

Details: As the caution grows in the land against the creatures of evil that again begin to appear, the Sae'Athkorbrar (refer to Dalria's bio for details) are suspected as being such. This shall portray how doubt of the Blackwood Wanderer's developes. After struggling to become respected as merely excellent hired huntsmen, this could ruin their chances. Will they decide to join the forces of Sauron once more, or will they turn from their past and seek to destroy creatures of evil? The Blackwood decision may be hindered by eager hunters seeking to destroy them, or it may be aided by those willing to converse and convince them to join the fight against evil. It is up to you, the RPers to decide! :D

Characters needed:
I wouldn't mind a little help if some of you would like to join as a Blackwood! :) Other than that, I welcome hunters, elves, men, women, but children are highly discouraged due to the possibly graphic nature of the situation. :D

Rules(we all hate these!):
1. (Most likely the most important) No drastic powers, such as instantanious healing,
conjuring elements (Unless you're a wizard or something, then a storm or two won't hurt...), and no teleporting. I want this to be as natural as
possible. You can have skills, such as good fighting abilities, and you
can be skilled at tending wounds and such, but nothing drastic.

2. No powerplaying without permission, since this may come off as rude to some people, and thus create an awkward RP. Powerplaying or GodModding is when you create actions and reactions for your fellow RP'ers and you post them as your post without permission from them personally. Basically GodModding is also when you try to take over the RP and make it focus on you and your situation without permission from the creator of the RP (Myself in this case). (Disregarding this rule could lead to you being severely scolded and shunned from the RP)

3. If you join the RP late, please read the whole thread before posting.
It will cut down on confusion.

4. Please keep your one-liners to an extreme minimum! And also, please be generous with the information on your character.

5. Last, but not least, give everyone a fair chance to participate by waiting for them if they have trouble keeping up. I know
things get out of hand and we all have a hard time with considering
everyone, but we can at least try, because we all have busy lives. (Including myself)

If you'll post your character bio with the word "Firvan" added to the end to be sure I know you read all the rules, I will be happy to accept you! Once characters come aboard, I will bring forth the first post. Have fun!

----------

My Character:

Name: Dalria Blackwood

Translation: No known translation for Dalria, though Blackwood was derived from Sae'Athkorbrar.

Title/Public standing: High Official of the Blackwood Wanderers, a few elite huntsmen.

Gender: Female

Birth year: 1670 of the Second Age

Race: Sae'Athkorbrar, meaning "wood of black craft" and Firvan, meaning "dark forest", both later simplified and translated to Blackwood and known as Blackwood Wanderers

Personality: Calm, thoughtful, though her manners could change drastically. In one moment she may be personable and helpful, though in the next she could seem cold mannered and withdrawn.

Appearance: Being of a little known race which comes in the appearance of a mere mortal, she boasts only simple, though pleasant features. Hair a straight rusty brown, it is often pulled into a tie to keep it from hindering her vision. With a figure that is relatively tall at 5' 10", she is agile, though a slender build conceals a good deal of strength. Her eyes are of lightest hazel, the only aspect of her features which sets her apart from others, though those of her own race carry this distinct difference as well.

Clothing: Dalria is simply clad, wearing mostly forest colored garbs, though on occasion she will don a thick leather armor of a dull brown and a drape-cloak of the same deep brown.

Weapons/Equipment: A few small, light daggers tucked into convenient locations. One hefty broadsword bestowed with the name Firavel, simple in design, but with a strength hardly strained in her combat years, the blade having a dark finish, while the hilt is of black enamel with a single red jewel. At first glance, the gem could be thought to be in the likeness of the Great Eye...

Steed or travel companion: None besides the occasional "burrowed" or rented horse.

History: Little is known of Dalria and her Blackwood followers, but it was once revealed that her race came to existence during Sauron's preparations and beginnings for war in between 1600 and 1700 of the Second Age. They were known as the Sae'Athkorbrar, an elite few who were skilled in weapon and sharp of mind, while their appearances were so alike to the race of Men, thus allowing them to mingle unnoticed. They were, however, an immortal race.

Dalria excelled in training, and despite her being a female combatant, she was appointed leader of the Sae'Athkorbrar. She was regarded as a high authority during the years of Sauron's growth in strength, and given the task of leading those under her command to battle against the Last Alliance, but all went awry for her and the Sae'Athkorbrar when Sauron was defeated at the end of the Second Age.

They scattered and concealed themselves among the race of Men, until peace was known for many years. Only then did they dare emerge to regroup, for they were still immortal and their lack of aging was stirring rumors among those with whom they dwelt. From the point of their discovery, they were referred to as the Blackwood Wanderers, though few knew their true point of origin.

There were those who turned to the Blackwood in search of criminal hunters and expert trackers, and though the remnants of their dark beginnings still flowed through their veins, the Blackwood Wanderers became a well respected group, minding their own but fulfilling the tasks assigned to them by Dalria.

Dalria's reasons for accepting these assignments from officials of various cities never was revealed, but often rumor would have it that she was keeping the Blackwood Wanderers in condition, for the time when their title of Sae'Athkorbrar would be restored.

Okay, here goes)

Name: Maersiniathwen Indil
Nickname: Maer (pronounced like Myra)
Translation: Lily of Good News (Evangeline Lilly :-D )
Age: 547
Gender: Female
Race: Elf
Appearance: Blonde hair braided back from her face, green eyes, a proclivity for wearing blue
Personality: Quiet, does not often speak, fairly shy, prefers watching and waiting rather than charging ahead. Logical. Quicker to smile and laugh than to frown. An optimist. Does speak in complete sentences.

Clothing: Subdued blues and grey. Long grey tunic and bluish leggings, dark blue bodice, light grey leather boots. Simple silver circlet on her forehead.

Weapons/Equipment: Boots and vambraces of the same light grey, standard Mirkwood bow and quiver, short elven sword.

History: Fairly young for her kind, she is the daughter of a minor noble in Mirkwood. Her father is Eruedraith Indil and her mother is Fainauriel Idril. Was noticed because of her keen skill with a bow, though not a match for King Thranduil's son, who taught her some of what she knows. She scouts the area with other elves only because there is thought to be no threat in the forest. Not a big hunter, prefers targets that are not living.

Welcome, Deawen! This is gonna be scarwy o.o haha. It's like we'll be the direct opposites. Maybe we could say Sauron created the Sae'Athkorbrar to counteract the Phantoms. *chuckles* Either way, I do honestly apologize for having a character likeness. *twitch* I didn't mean to at all. It's been so long since I've been active in the RP realm, I suppose I let my creativity guard down.

I welcome all you others! And of course you may join as Blackwood wanderers! On a side note, Nauriel, though they are like them, they are not elves, but they actually look like mortals. Feel free to develop your own bio. We shall begin shortly! I need to sleep, however, so if you'll forgive me, I'll work on a short post tomorrow.

well you know Si~ the longer you rp the more your world expands and contracts. For instance this is the first time the Phantoms have been strictly good without persausion. They have always been Rebels, Created in the desert to protect Deawen and her ancestors. or once or twice openly attacked the men of the west Defying any sort a restraint paced on them. it's really cool and really I don't mind the Character's i think it makes them very interesting. as Morwen and I say "great minds think alike! ok honestly get out of my head now!" :-D

And let us begin! :D

---------------

Dalria Blackwood mused over the writings of a scroll which rested in her hands, while behind her a few of the Sae’Athkorbrar bore sacks of various supplies, payment of their most recent task completed successfully; A criminal brought to a just end by swift beheading. Worry, however, grew in Dalria’s thoughts as, during their travel, they had caught rumor of evil creatures roaming the lands again, but that did not worry her so much as the fact that her own people were suspected of being a threat!

“How would they dare to assume our guilt?!” Dalria exclaimed to her right-hand commander, Koltor. “This decree for an elite force to overthrow and destroy us is the height of all ignorance!” She cried in a fit of anger, her eyes alight as she hurled the scroll at a tree and threw down her gauntlets. “Dal,” Koltor calmly addressed her, ‘Dal’ being her requested title, even among her people. “It is not over for us yet, we still have contracts which people are willing to have us fulfill!” “Aye, but we have lost nearly a half! We shall soon be hunted, Koltor, and if I judge correctly, they shall choose the Phantoms to accomplish the task, and they do not rest from their task, even if we were to retreat to Mordor itself!” “Then let us do so, before the hunt begins, and re-pledge our allegiance to the Master,” he suggested. The clenching of Dalria’s jaw line and the angered glance she cast in his direction informed him wordlessly of his error.

“We shall not resort to such measure… at least not yet,” Dalria muttered between clenched teeth, her hand gripping the black enamel hilt of her broadsword, the red jewel seeming to glimmer cruelly at the mere mention of the dark land. It indeed would seem as though The Eye itself was the likeness of the gem. Dalria slammed her palm against the gem in frustration as she sauntered off to seek counsel with a few of her people.

(I`ll join)

Name: Daenfol

Title/Public standing: Agent Of Sauron (Operates from Dol Gùldur)

Gender: Male

Age: Around Mid Thirties (35)

Race: Human (Black Númenórean)

Personality: Daenfol has a rather sly personality, one that is required of a man who specializes on in making promises of power and wealth to those interested in serving his master, Sauron. He rarely shows his emotions openly, only chuckles at what amuses him and otherwise makes stinging comments about other peoples incompetence when it is of no harm.

Appearance: Dark medium long hair that are usually pony tailed, a well trimmed beard, tall and `noble` stature and well built body as a result of extensive training. ( http://img266.imageshack.us/img266/4319 ... d01qh5.gif )

Clothing: He wears a set of brown clothing preferred for traveling, but those clothes are mainly covered by a dark, sharp edged armor that he wears. His fur cape is attached by a chain around his neck. In addition he wears two belts, one of his waist and the other around his shoulder where he holds some equipment he needs.

Weapons/Equipment: Daenfol carries a scimitar, that has a symbol of a skull in the hilt, on his waist and a long dagger that has been hidden on the inside of his cape. Otherwise he carries a number of scrolls and a flask on his belts.

Horse: A dark steed

History:

All tough the Black Númenóreans had decreased in numbers over the years, a few existed in the service of Sauron in return of power and wealth. Daenfol was one descendant of such men and continued in the footprints of dark servitude under the dark lord.

Daenfol was trained in a close combat arts, dark rituals and speech craft that would later prove to be his greatest mean of comforting his `enemies`, which might just become his allies. Due a need of a skilled negotiator and an agent in the north, Daenfol was sent to Dol Gùldur and he would remain there until the awakening of the dark creatures. As the shadow crept back into the world, Daenfol rode forth and began striking deals with men who could be corrupted with promises of wealth or power.

Now his masters have tasked him to meet with the Blackwood wanderers and convince them to join the forces of darkness in Dol Gùldur.

------------

Behind him rose a dark mountain that was crowned by a fortress, but that sight was shrinking into the distance as he rode forth, seeking the group known as the Blackwood wanderers. Killing and protecting for money had provided them their daily needs thus far, but what now when they would be chased down like wild animals? Who would they turn to when all of their employers were slowing being convinced that they were the very same evil that lurked in the shadows and the caves of the mountains? They would turn back, they would look into the past and see their true master, Sauron.

Daenfol was a black Númenórean, a part of the human race that had shrank formidable from it`s days of glory, but the same blood still flowed trough his veins, proud and noble blood that would guarantee him a long life. His current task seemed simple enough in his eyes, he would have to convince the Blackwood wanderers that they had no other options left than to serve Sauron. After all they were being cornered like worthless dogs, but for a price that corner might just open up and they might slip away from those that wanted them dead.

He slightly hmhed to himself as he approached the place of their latest sighting by an orcish scout and as of late Daenfol had dispatched a number of cerebain after them. They report to him once they would have pinpointed their location.

(you didn`t really say where they were....)
