Aye, that's it.
Hmmm... I don't think I'll be quite as strict with my children if they want to meet online friends. As someone who is struggling against their parents now I wouldn't want my children to have to deal with that. I'd probably go along though.. that wouldn't hurt anything.

I certainly would allow my children to meet internet friends. As long as they were aware of what they were doing, and didn't go alone (ie. I'd go with them) I think that I would ask them to have some contact with this person outside the internet first, before meeting them, like sending letters, or talking on the phone.

Aye, it is.
I like that idea Darrell. Talking on the phone is very good personal contact. Although writing letters takes time I find it to be a good alternative as well. You can find out so much from a person when they write a letter to you. Handwriting tells a lot as well...

You are very welcome, Gimli. I'm glad you feel better now!
Well, perhaps we'll meet up one day, dearest Gimli
Pick me, pick me!! Ohh I've got a very British-related topic!!
I know I've mentioned London soo many times before, but I can't help myself.. London seems to be my promised land!!
Do any of you know if both Stansted and Gatwick airport are within a reasonable distance from the city. I mean, would there be decent train/bus connections from the airports for the poor of us who can't afford flying to Heathrow?

You're in luck Eä! Stansted has a railway station below the terminal with services to London every 15 or so minutes. I believe it goes straight to Liverpool Street station in London. They've also got an express bus and/or coaches that stop at about 3 or 4 places in London including the Liverpool St. station.
As for Gatwick, it also has a railway station that provides connections to London Victoria and the London Bridge stations in London. There are plenty of coach services as well.
Hope that helps you out dear.

Aw, I'm sure that's not strictly true, JF-ish-ness isn't in to burning people. You do have to watch out for her pink duckies though... *Shifty eyes*

*edges away from a pyromaniac JF*
I just like playing with fire... *shifty eyes*
Well, I've already been to London... and now when I think of it I think we flew to Stansted.. and took the train into the city centre... We stayed at Barbican station...
No I'm not planning on going for 2012... or maybe I will but that'd be to see the Olympics... We talked about going to Beijing this summer but it's probably all crowded and busy because of next year's Olympics.

Burning stuff.... with the water running... whoa... living on he edge there, JF
Ohh that's why you have been and not been to London... I see...!
My (bad) memory is actually coming back to me. Now I remember we took some pictures in front of Buckingham Palace and Tower Bridge where I'm doing cartwheels!!
You're probably right about Asia... but I would want to visit because of the difference-ness!!
What are your favorite spots/places in the UK?
Do you Brits consider Wales and Scotland 'real' parts of the UK and what about Ireland and Northern Ireland?
