Yep, that's what I use. I probably didn't explain it very well, but when you place your text on your graphic, on the text layer if you change it from "normal" to say "soft" or "overlay", it will make the text transparent and will pick up the colors of the actual graphic, like this:

Whereas the text on my banner in my sig, is just normal text.

Yep, that we do! I do have one more question for you though. I see alot of people who make graphics put really small unreadable text under the actual text. Like this:
Got the avvie from your website. How do you do that? some sort of brush or texture?

Alright, awesome! I'm happy an amazing graphics maker like you also uses PSP 7, for awhile I thought I was the only one who used it.

Brushes are images, textures etc that you can apply to a graphic to give it a little something extra. You can use them in a variety of ways, for example:

I used a lot of brushes on this. The ink splashes, the flowers acting as the border, the small flowers, stars, even the texture over the main image, they are all brushes. Some were left as normal, others I set to overlay to make them transparent.
Well I don't know what programme you use, but there should be somewhere on your programme to use the piantbrush tool. And somewhere you should be able to change the shape of the tool to cutom shapes which you can install. PSP and PS brushes will only work within the respective programmes, but if when you download a brush set, it comes complete with an imagepack you can install them manually by cutting out each individual brush from the pack, and installing it into your programme.
I don't know if any tutorials from here will help you.

I have another question for you, JF, if you don't mind. I was wondering how you do those beautiful borders of yours on your banners. I love them. I am glad you like the banner, BTW.

Here is my pathetic attempt at the bordering:
I'll keep practicing at it. I like how the overall banner turned out.
